My Dad, My Hero

Hello sweet friends!  Natasha here with a layout I created using the beautiful "For Father" Collection by Pion Design.
The photo is of my awesome daddy.  He is my everything.  Shhhhhh... don't tell my hubby or he may get jealous LOL.  :o)

I used a lot of Dusty Attic chipboard on this layout, including the title piece.  I grunged up the title chippie by applying paint, ink and embossing powder.
Some hemp cord lacing...
I found this quote and thought it was very fitting for this layout.  Everything my father has taught me will stay with me and be passed on to my children.
The flower was made from chipboard as well.  I have a similar tutorial that can be found HERE.  The hand cut stamps and pocket watches were cut from the Pion Design papers I used.
To add texture to these chipboard bricks, I applied Mix'd Media Inx Embossing Powder in Truffle.
Hope you enjoyed my layout!  Take care!

Addicted to Clip It Ups!

Hi there!  Natasha here and today I'd like to show you a few of my Clip It Ups!  I shared them on my blog during the blog hop we had last month, and I thought I would share it here too.  My Clip It Up products have helped me organize my studio so that I can easily find and access my supplies.  Take a peek...

Embellies and Flowers...
Alphas... lots of alphas on my Clip It Up Jumbo!!
Here is all of my yummy Dusty Attic goodness on a Clip It Up Jumbo and Upper Tier.

Bling and pearls... I love how the Clip It Up Mini fits in my storage units!
I love the Swinging Wall Arm!  This is where I hang my layouts for display.  My children like to look through them.
The Base Unit fits nicely in this unit from Ikea.

I use the 18" Ribbon Organizer to hang my color samples, glue dots, etc.  This organizer hangs right next to me above my table.  I use the top part to temporarily store product that I am using at the moment and that need to be put away.

I recently rearranged my studio AGAIN so I haven't had the chance to fill these up yet.  These are perfect for odd spaces such as this.  There is a door to the left of the Wall Mounts, so I wasn't able to put shelves in this space or else the door wouldn't open.  So I installed the Wall Mounts which hold loads of product!

I have a few more Clip It Ups to share soon!  I just need to fill them up first!  Thanks for stopping by!

Love is...

Hello again!  Natasha here and I hope you are all well!  I wanted to share a card I made a little while ago.  I used paper from Tim Holtz's Vintage Shabby Collection.  I really love the bird on this paper.  I stitched the flourishes using my Quick Tip found HERE
The hinge is a chippie made by The Dusty Attic.  I didn't actually plan for it to come out looking the way it does but I LOVE the end result.  I originally embossed it, painted it white and then inked it with a color similar to the brown cord I used for my lacing.  I then sanded off pieces of the hinge to give it a distressed look and applied rock candy Crackle paint on top.  Somehow the combination of all of those elements caused the hinge to turn a pinkish color and it ended up matching my paper perfectly!!  What luck!  I guess sometimes the best effects are the result of accidents!
Thanks for taking a peek at my little creation.  Have a beautiful day!

Just Play!

Hi everyone!  Natasha here with a layout I made using Donna Salazar's new Storybook Collection.  This is such a fun paper line to play with.  I really had a good time creating this layout.  :o)
I used Fiber Paste to create the brick background and added color with ink.  The "PLAY" tiles were cut and embossed using the new Mix'd Media Playtime Dies by Spellbinders.
The Sprockets were cut with the Spellbinders Sprightly Sprocket Dies.  I cut them out of Kraft labels from the Mix'd Media Stax by GCD Studios.  The Sprockets were then embossed with Truffle Mix'd Media Inx embossing powder.
These letter were cut using 'Donna's Alphas' dies and adhered with Zapdots.  I love dimensional layouts so Helmar Zapdots are one of my favorite adhesives.
You can see punched pieces of The Crafty Chronicle peeking out from under the torn paper.  The blue punched edges were embossed with Denim Mix'd Media embossing powder.
The sun and clouds were cut from one of the Storybook papers and decorated with eyelets and hemp cord.
I cut these images out  from the 'Storybook Cards' paper and overlapped the images on the 'Fido' paper.
Isn't Fido scary-looking?!  Okay, maybe not LOL.

Thank you for stopping by today!  Have a beautiful week!
