She made chicken noodle soup from scratch. And I rarely got to watch tv but she would go to blockbuster and get me the old addams family show or the Abbott and Costello or sometimes a goofy movie. I loved it.
ReplyDeleteMy Mom would give me hot tea with lemon and honey in it and let me sleep if I needed that to get better. She would also buy me a book or magazine to be able to look at if I got bored.
ReplyDeleteShe pampered me with little things like bringing a radio next to my bed and fixing a special lunch.
ReplyDeleteMy mom rubbed Vicks Vapor Rub on my chest, the smell it of always cleared out my sinuses long enough to fall asleep. I do the same thing with my kids.
ReplyDeleteMy mom always made this tea. It is from a flower in her garden that she dried out herself. To this day I still can't make it as good as she does.
ReplyDeleteMy Mom would set up the couch like a bed, she always bought mint chocolate chip ice cream, she brought coloring books. She even sat with me at night if I wasnt feeling well. She was always the best Mom ever and the only person I wanted around when I wasnt feeling well :)
ReplyDeleteMy Mom would buy me tons of apple juice and I would rink it non stop surprisingly enough it really worked and always made me feel better.
ReplyDeleteI've been a reader since I was a little girl and when I was sick my mom would always buy me a new book so I'd have something to read while laying in bed.
ReplyDeleteMy mom always rocked me in her big rocking recliner and put on an ocean sounds tape. I was sleeping like a baby in no time. Thanks mom!
ReplyDeleteWhen I was little, mom would make me hot tea to sip on. Amazing how good that tasted then!
