Hi everyone! It's Lesley Langdon with you today and I am excited to show you one way that I've become more organized since I've owned the Clip-It-Up.
I have over 50 packages of alphabets, whether they are chipboard or stickers. I used to pile them up in a wooden tray, and they would all stick together, and fall off, and I would have to search under piles and piles of packages to find what I was looking for.
When I got my Clip-It-Up Jumbo, first thing I went for was the alphas. I knew I needed a better system.
BEFORE:
AFTER:
And here is a layout made with 2 sets of my hanging alphas. This makes me happy, because I love the feeling of satisfaction when I use up older stash. The Clip-It-Up is also good for hanging embellishments, and having them IN SIGHT so that you can REMEMBER to use them! I snatched up the acrylic tag, the camera rub-on, and the Kraft flowers from my Upper-Tier.
This is me in 1979. Wasn't I cute? :)
Layout Tips to USE YOUR STASH:
- think of ways to use up your numbers and alphas in your title
- layer scraps of coordinating papers to add dimension
- when finishing up, add little things like pins, buttons, and brads
- look around and use up what's on the table
- make a point to use items before you start a project
Supplies:
Patterned Paper: My Mind's Eye (Lost & Found)
Stamps: Unity Stamp Co. (Picture Perfect) Adhesive: Glue Arts Glue Glider Pro (Extreme Tac)
Alphas: Cosmo Cricket, Pink Paislee
Kraft Flowers: Maya Road
Lace: Prima
Pin: Maya Road
Ink: Palette, Color Queue
Acrylic Tag: Tim Holtz
Have a wonderful day!
I use my Clip It Up to hold my alphas too and I have found it so much easier to find what I am looking for. Like they say, if you can see it, you will use it!
ReplyDeleteSweet layout! That system does seem a lot more efficient than my basket system for storing letters...
ReplyDeleteLove it! I want a clip Up so bad!!! Maybe for Christmas? Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteLove it! I'm using my new swinging wall arm to hold my alphas. Apparently I don't own as many as you do. :) Now if I could just win that other one to hold the rest of my stuff! Wink, Wink....
ReplyDeleteI so am in that same situation. I love the clip it ups:) All of them!
