Nothing huge, but when I'm at a department or craft store and I have coupons but don't end up getting anything, I always try to pass them along to another shopper on the way out so they can save a little. It's a simple, easy thing to do.
ReplyDeleteI love to look for little ways that I can help someone in need. Just keeping my eyes and ears open as I go about my daily life. For instance, I happened to overhear a young single mom at our church say something to another young mom about not having enough money for gas that week so she couldn't do a play date. Slipping her a little something from my wallet so she had a little less worry actually made my day. Kindness has a way of blessing the giver as much as the givee. It's something I wish we all would do.
ReplyDeleteI volunteer at the rescued gray hound shelter so they dogs wont put to sleep. I think even a animals life is important!!!! Just because they slow down or get to old run don't mean they need to be put down!
ReplyDeleteI have been trying to be very intentional about praying for my family and friends, especially when they have specifically asked for prayer about something. I try to follow up with them so that they know that I actually have been praying and am concerned for them.

when our local walmart has their 'going back to school' sale' i fill my basket of notebooks, pencils, pens, rulers, crayons and all the supplys i can get for a fraction of the cost. i then donate them to our local church who then fills 'BACK PACKS FOR KIDZ' who can't afford to buy these items. walmart also donated the backpacks for us to fill. makes you feel good! my friend, linda harris sent me some vinyl recently to make a project i was working on. she didn't want anything in return.
ReplyDeleteI had a friend through fb that was really having a rough time so I sent her one of my custom made TuTu bags to brighten her day. She was shocked and loved it. We are now chatters usually daily. I also had another fb friend who neede some vinyl for a cricut head and sent her some from my stash so she could get it done for her door sign for a cruise she is going on!!!!
ReplyDeleteI am the queen of kindness!lol My kids call me super Mom because if there is someone in need within a mile of me I will find them. I am just very observant and try to be helpful and am never afraid to approach a situation.
ReplyDeleteMy last big help I almost got arrested because I caught an abuser and sat on him till the police got there-wasn't a shining moment but it worked.
I feel there is a reason I am here to help others.
i'm also sender my friend linda harris over. we're both new followers.
ReplyDeleteWith all the challenges going on I find myself with so many cards that I can't use them all so I make up little gift sets of cards and donate them to different charities having fund raisers for silent auctions or sales.
ReplyDeleteI took a treat over to a neighbor that has been having a hard time. I think the small things are just as important as the big ones!!
ReplyDeleteI helped the neighbor chase down thier dog.
ReplyDeleteI always try and help out a stranger if they need it while I'm passing by.
ReplyDeleteI gave the lady in front of me my 40% Hobby Lobby coupon because the item her daughter wanted was not on sale and she wasn't going to get it for her.
ReplyDeleteI volunteer at a cat shelter.
ReplyDeleteHmm, good question? My most recent RAK was letting a man with only a few items skip ahead of me in line. Really no big deal, I personally think that should be a given if you have a cart full of groceries and the person behind you only has 1 or 2 items! Thanks for this thoughtful question because now I'm realizing I need to do more RAK!
ReplyDeleteAs an act of kindness I usually buy food at my local KFC and give a piece to the homeless man that sleeps in his car outside of their business. He seems very nice and sometimes he even asks if he can give it forward cause he is not hungry. I think of him often and always say a lil prayer that he is watched over.
ReplyDeleteI know I'm late but I just wanted to share. I keep little kits in my car with water travel size toothbrush and paste a snack and small comb. When I see a pan handler we give this instead of money I need to have some bible verse in there too
ReplyDeleteI always try to include my distant scrappers in the local fun of getting together to scrap. The love of being spontaneous is my way of thinking and we all love it.

I do favors for anyone that asks and do whatever I can to help my friends and others. I never refuse anyone in need!
ReplyDeleteA RAK that I once did was to pay for the order of a car behind me at Starbucks.
