'Because of You' Layout and Exciting News!

Hi everyone! Natasha here with a layout I created using Pion Design's beautiful new collection, From My Heart II. I love that this collection has the traditional red 'love' papers and that it also has non-traditional 'love' papers as well. I fell in love with these delicate colors as soon as I saw them!
This is a layout of me and my hubby. I dedicated this layout to him, and it is about how he has changed me (in a good way LOL).
This is my Romantique Rose flower. You can find the tutorial HERE. I improvised by adding a few tulle layers in between.
These hearts were cut by hand. I glued them down and stitched a border around them to add texture.
I saw this quote on a stamp at a craft store. It's from an Eskimo love song. I think it's so sweet. :o)
This Cherry Blossom Chippie is made by The Dusty Attic. I inked it with spray ink by Lindy's Stamp Gang and painted embossed the flowers.
In the center of this hand-stitched heart, I applied Glass Beads Gel to add interest and a beautiful texture.
The chipboard trim was painted, inked and decorated with bling.
The bubble wrap is one of Donna Salazar's new stamps by Art Gone Wild. I stamped the image using Jasmine Mix'd Media Inx and then embossed it with Jasmine Mix'd Media Embossing Powder.
I hope you enjoyed my layout today!

Bonnie Bird Cages

Hi everyone!  Natasha here with a set of bird cages I'd like to share with you.  I made this project for CHA using Donna Salazar's Chipboard & Denim Bird Cages by Want2Scrap.

Both of these cages are attached by a swivel clasp, but silly me forgot to take a photo of them together.  LOL.
These canvas flowers were made using Helmar Fabric Stiffener and Draping Fluid.  I mixed the liquid with a Mix'd Media Inx Reinker (Denim) to add color to the flower layers.  Then I brushed the liquid onto each flower layer and allowed to dry.  This amazing Helmar product helps stiffen the canvas, allowing me to shape the petals to create a natural-looking flower.
The bird cages comes in three pieces: the top layer, the bottom layer and the door.  I created dimension by using Zapdots between the top and bottom layers.
The butterfly is cut from the Wonderful Wings Spellbinders dies.  It was cut from a Kraft Label Sheet from Donna Salazar's new Mix'd Media Stax.  These Stax include watercolor paper, kraft label sheets, kraft paper and manila paper.
To the cage doors, I added hinges and knobs that were distressed with gesso and ink.
The banner chipboard element is manufactured by Want2Scrap and coordinates with the new Spellbinders Mix'd Media Elements Dies.
The chipboard cages were painted with white acrylic paint and stamped with new Art Gone Wild Stamps by Donna Salazar.  I stamped the image using Chiffon Mix'd Media Inx and embossed it with matching embossing powder.
The birdie and the branch are also part of the Mix'd Media Elements chipboard pack and also coordinate with the matching Spellbinders dies.
Just some mulberry flowers and bling by Want2Scrap.  All of the flowers were adhered using 450 Quick Dry.
The denim in the background is specifically cut to match the bird cage.  It also comes with the denim front layer of the cage, but I did not use it for this project.
I altered the back of the cages with acrylic paint, white opaque flakes, Smooch Spritz and Fairy Dust Glitter.  I love adding texture to my projects!

Reach for the Stars!

Hello friends!  Natasha here, and today I would like to share a layout I made for CHA using the new 'Storybook' papers by Donna Salazar Designs.  This collection is very different and unique, but I had SOOOOOO much fun with it!  It's not my typical style, but sometimes you need to think outside the box and try new things!

The title letters were cut using 'Donna's Alphas' dies by Spellbinders.  I adhered them to my layout using Helmar Zapdots.
Love my Dymo label machine!
Can you see my babies in the schoolhouse?  LOL!  I fussy cut the house, trees and grass from a second sheet of the same paper and adhered it to my layout using two layers of Zapdots.  Then I cut open the windows and doors and placed my children inside.
Here you can see the amazing dimension foam adhesive creates on any project.
I cut the background tiles out of real cork and rounded the edges.  I think it looks kinda neat with these school papers.
I cut these stars from another paper and hand stitched the 'string' hanging from the top.
These papers are really great for fussy cutting... and this being said by someone who is NOT a fan of fussy cutting!  I love creating a 3D feel with cut layers and dimensional adhesive!

Thanks for stopping by today!  Happy Creating!

Enjoy the Moments

Hello dear friends!  Natasha here and I have some exciting news today!  Kristine Davidson, from Creative Scrappers, has published a brand new eBook filled with her inspirational sketches and layouts by designers from all over the world!  I am honored to be a part of this fabulous book, and I would like to share my layout that I created for this publication!

I have scrapped this photo of my daughter and myself before, but I just love it.  Couldn't help myself!  LOL!
My title is made up of a Dusty Attic chippie that I embossed with Jasmine Mix'd Media Inx Embossing Powder.
This is my cabbage rose covered with Diamond Dust.  You can find a tutorial for my flower HERE.  The flourish is a chipboard element that I cut apart and used in various parts of my layout.

The small blue flowers are my Romantique Roses.  You can find the tutorial HERE.

The gray paper in the background is actually a collage of torn papers that I decoupaged.  I stitched in random areas for added texture.

Thank you for stopping by today!  Enjoy your day!

Treat Box

Hello again! Natasha here with an altered project to share with you today!

I decorated this yummy Treat Box, made by The Dusty Attic, using flowers and papers by Kaisercraft. I covered the top surface of the box with texture stucco and inked the entire box with Burnt Umber Moon Shadow Mist by Lindy's Stamp Gang. Prior to embellishing the top surface, I coated it with a matte acrylic sealer to prevent the stucco from chipping.

The large, hand-made flower was made using Kaisercraft paper and Donna Salazar's Rose Creations Dies. Click HERE for a tutorial on how to make my 'Bella Donna' flowers.

The leafy corners are a part of the Leafy Frame by The Dusty Attic. I adhered them to the edges of the box to create a unique look.

Resin embellies by Prima...

Here I applied a glass bead texture gel. It's hard to see in the photo, but it is an AMAZING texture! Love it! The drawers were covered with Prima packaging that I recycled.

Thanks for stopping by today!
