My Heart

Hi everyone!  This is a layout I created using papers by My Mind's Eye.  The photos are of my daughter when she was a baby.  I miss those days!
The background was splattered with paint and distressed with a stamp and embossing powder.
These Dusty Attic chippies were painted, inked with Lindy's Stamp Gang sprays and embossed with LSG embossing powder.  These embossing powders have a lovely glimmer to them.
I made this flower using Mistra Hoolahan's flower tutorial that can be found HERE.
The smaller flower was made using the Bitty Blossoms dies by Spellbinders, and the apple blossoms are Green Tara flowers.
The butterflies are also manufactured by Green Tara.
All of the stitching on this layout was done by hand.  I stitched around the hearts to further define them.
That's all for today!  Have a wonderful week!

Little Blessing

Hi there!  Today I have a layout to share made using Pion Design's Silent Night Collection.  I really love the versatility of this line.  I have used it for several different themes other than winter or Christmas.  The designs and colors of these papers are gorgeous!  The photo is of my daughter when she was a year old... seems like forever ago.  I think this is one of my favorite layouts to date.  :o)
I used a sketch from Page Drafts for this layout.  I have used a few of their sketches before and I find that they push my creativity even further.
I LOVE lots and lots of layers!  Here you can see layers of paper and chipboard by The Dusty Attic.  There are actually three photos layered here, and each photo is matted for extra chunky goodness!
I altered this chippie with paint and Mix'd Media Inx and adhered the little alphas to create the title.
Along the edges of the layout I layered strips of paper and cut circles to create this interesting design element.  I added brads and stitching to create more dimension and texture.  Thank goodness for the Standard Circle die sets by Spellbinders!  I no longer have to cut out circles by hand.  What a time saver!
I made this flower using the Rose Creations dies by Spellbinders.  You can find my tutorial HERE.
Behind the multiple layers, I stamped distressed dots onto the paper using Pewter Mix'd Media Inx and embossed the dots with clear embossing powder.
I used two different types of Dusty Attic blooms for this layout: Bridal Veil and Smokey Blue.  The gorgeous lace edging the circle is manufactured by Green Tara.

Thank you for stopping by today.
Much love & hugs...
xoxo

Forever

Hi friends!  This is a layout I created using Pion Design's latest release, Silent Night.  I love the versatility of this collection; I have used it for several different themes.
The chipboard wagon wheel was dabbed with white paint and sprayed with ink.  I often decorate my chippies this way when I want the pieces to blend into the layout.  The chipboard and white flowers are manufactured by The Dusty Attic and both are available in my shop.
The lovely metal charms on this layout were purchased from Handmade Halo.  They sell a lovely selection of charms, resin flowers and much more!
The title is also made of chipboard letters that were painted, lightly inked for an aged effect and staggered to add dimension.
The white and green flowers are Dusty Attic Blooms.  You can see the variety of colors available HERE.
The little button heart is also made of chipboard... yes, I am a bit addicted to chipboard!  LOL.  I embossed the button with Lindy's Stamp Gang embossing powder, and then I applied paint to the button using my fingers!  Finger painting fun!  I set two eyelets in the holes and tied hemp cord through the holes.
This chipboard element is one of my favorite pieces!  The Dusty Attic designed a few double-layer chippies like this one.  The bottom layer was inked with Mix'd Media Inx and the top layer was painted and inked.  The dimension of this piece is gorgeous!  I applied a few pearls to add a touch of elegance.

Thank you for visiting me today!!  I hope you have a lovely day!!

Much love & hugs...
xoxo
