We decided to introduce the Simply Renee Staff this month. Since it is our birthday we figured it would be a great month to introduce us. We’re a pretty small staff so their will be one per week with a total of four! We’ll also be introducing drawings so make sure you read it :-) Since this was my idea I get to go first, and I discovered it’s pretty hard to write about yourself.
So here I go…
I grew up in a family of 5. I have one older sister and a younger brother and yes I believe in MCS (Middle Child Syndrome). I actually was very lucky I have a wonderful family and I’ve loved watching it grow. I now have a brother in law, two nephews and a wonderful fiancée!
Nathan and Me- Can’t wait until Oct. 8!
I graduated with a BS degree (ha ha I love writing that) in Health Promotion and now I’m currently working on a Masters in Public Administration. I have absolutely no clue what I want to be when I grow up so I’m determined to just not grow up.
I’ve been working at Simply Renee Inc. for over 2 1/2 years now. I’ve learned a lot and it’s been so much fun meeting new people. It’s motivated me to scrapbook more and now I want to learn how to sew. I’m slightly scared of this new desire but I can’t wait to start!
My favorite Clip it Up product is the Mini. Which just so happens to be on sale next week for 40% off.
The Mini is perfect for photos, cards, stamps, fabric and so much more. I’m currently in the process of decorating a Clip it Up for my kitchen. I’m going to use it to hold all my recipes. I’ll show you pictures once I get it all done.
Now that you’ve read all about me I’m excited to announce our contest for the week! Add a comment to this post about your favorite quote. Make sure to include your name and check back on Friday July 9 to see who the winner is. The winner will be picked randomly.
For example: My favorite quote is a silly one but it has helped me smile countless times. “Some people in life are like slinkies, not really good for anything but they bring a smile to your face when pushed down the stairs”. A fellow intern emailed me this quote while I was working as a congressional intern in Washington D.C. and I bet you can only imagine how many slinkies there are in Congress :-)

ReplyDeleteOne of my favorites quotes is:
"I believe in being strong when everything seems to be going wrong. I believe that happy girls are the prettiest girls. I believe that tomorrow is another day, and I believe in miracles." ~ Audrey Hepburn
I have lots of favorite quotes - The longer I live, the more I realize the impact of attitude on life. Attitude, to me, is more important than facts. It is more important than the past, the education, the money, than circumstances, than failure, than successes, than what other people think or say or do. It is more important than appearance, giftedness or skill. It will make or break a company... a church... a home. The remarkable thing is we have a choice everyday regarding the attitude we will embrace for that day. We cannot change our past... we cannot change the fact that people will act in a certain way. We cannot change the inevitable. The only thing we can do is play on the one string we have, and that is our attitude. I am convinced that life is 10% what happens to me and 90% of how I react to it. And so it is with you... we are in charge of our Attitudes.”

When my grandmother was diagnosed with lung cancer, this was her mantra. All throughout her three year battle, this would get her, and us, through the rough patches. We lost her in January, but we were so blessed to
have her for 3 wonderful years (the doctors gave her 12-18 months at diagnosis and we almost lost her at 18 months)and countless memories!
Congratulations on your upcoming wedding! I was married 10/4/08, and it's been grand! :)
