Back to School- Get Organized!!!

It’s back to school time! This is a busy time of year! Back to school time can be stressful! I’m sure most of us would agree that once the kids get back in school, the amount of paperwork that comes home on a daily basis can get overwhelming!

My Clip It Up Jumbo is a lifesaver for what I need to keep organized and at my fingertips!

I have two children in two different schools, and they are in MANY activities! Paperwork used to be everywhere cluttering up my countertops! Not anymore. If I need to keep it, it immediately gets categorized and clipped up on my Clip It Up Jumbo.

First off, decide what categories you will need.

The ones that immediately came to mind for my girls are:

  • High School
  • Junior High
  • Marching Band
  • Band
  • Choir
  • Track

I know there will be more, and I can add those tabbed dividers at any time! I will also be adding tabbed dividers for paperwork that requires ACTION. For example, maybe, “Sign & Return” or “Pay, Sign, & Return”. My girls are constantly bringing home forms that need to be filled out, sometimes I need to make out a check, and it needs to go back. Instead of setting it down on the counter where I could potentially forget about it, I Clip It Up! Then, when I get time, I can take down the form, fill out the form, write out my check, get it all in an envelope, and get it in a backpack to be returned! I will also clip up some envelopes so that everything is in one place!

Other categories to consider:

  • Lunch menu
  • After school activities
  • Carpool schedule
  • Girl Scouts
  • Cub Scouts
  • Boy Scouts
  • Phone number list
  • Field trips
  • Volunteer schedule
  • January – December

Just keep track of what category each piece of incoming paper belongs in, and create tabbed dividers that make sense for you!

I also decided that instead of just putting the cute little stickers on the tabbed dividers, I would decorate my tabbed dividers! Aphra also recently did this, and I’m sure you’ll agree that it’s cute and fun! Around here, if it sits still long enough, I just might alter it!

I don’t use my typewriter enough, so I typed up some of the categories. I then got a bunch of scraps from my scrap bin. I decorated my tabbed dividers with what I had sitting around on my desk! I cut my paper to size, rounded the top two corners, punched the hole, cut the slit, and finished it up! Easy as can be!

My Clip It Up is a little empty right now, but as the school year progresses; it will fill up quickly! My Clip It Up is ready to keep me organized all year long! School year . . . I’m ready for you now!! Bring it on!
